Pet Euthanasia

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult decisions pet parents may face. At PetSmart Veterinary Services: Georgetown, we understand the deep bond you share with your companion, and we’re here to provide compassionate support and guidance during this challenging time. Our pet euthanasia services are designed to ensure a peaceful and dignified end-of-life experience, allowing your pet to pass surrounded by love and comfort.

End-of-Life Care for Your Cherished Companion
Pet Quality-of-Life Exams
Determining when it’s time to say farewell to a pet can be a difficult and emotional decision. Our experienced veterinary team offers pet quality-of-life examinations to assess your pet’s overall well-being. During these exams, we’ll discuss your pet’s habits, behaviors, medical conditions, symptoms, and treatment options, providing compassionate guidance to help you make the best decision for your pet and your family.
Pet Euthanasia
When the time has come for goodbyes, our veterinary team is here to provide pet euthanasia that supports your pet with gentle care until the very end. We’ll take the time to explain the process and answer any questions, ensuring you feel comfortable every step of the way. Our goal is to provide a peaceful and pain-free passing for your pet, surrounded by the love and comfort of their family.
After your pet has passed, we partner with Texas Pet Meadow to offer cremation services. You can opt for a communal cremation with other cherished pets or an individual cremation, after which you will be able to have your pet’s ashes returned to you. Keepsakes are also available if you would like a token to memorialize your pet.

Saying Goodbye Can Be Hard for Pet Families
When you have other pets at home, losing one fur baby can be confusing for the rest. Unfortunately, pet parents can’t communicate what is happening with their words, and neither can pets. If you are concerned about how the euthanasia of one pet may affect others in your household, talk to our veterinary team. We can discuss signs of grief to look out for and some methods that may help other pets cope with the loss. As veterinary professionals, we strive to partner with you in care for the wellness of all pets.
